Endorsing Your Company through Recognition Rewards


There are many ways to endorse your organization and products. One that can provide multi-faceted impact is the use of employee recognition rewards. Implemented effectively, this can result in your employees’ carrying the company message to the masses effortlessly. It involves an overall strategy to create a workplace that your employees feel proud to be a part. It requires a plan, a budget, and time.
You probably already know what image you want for your business or organization and you are likely already incorporating a number of strategies to promote it. Marketing, professional development, special events and team meetings are all ways of developing organizational culture and image. Providing employee recognition rewards or service rewards for your workers can be part an effective piece of the strategy.
Rewards that project your company’s image are an effective way of getting the word out. That is, if your workers feel proud to be seen with them. The secret is to give your employees things that are noticed by others. Look for items that can be used every day and outside of the workplace as well as at work. Take advantage of current trends.
Green is a big one. Today’s workers are product savvy. They know what they like, and more importantly, what they don’t. If you’re not sure what to get, ask them, and be open about your motives. Covert is a thing of the past. Today’s workers (and consumers) appreciate honesty and sense insincerity a mile away. Consider appointing a team and provide them with a budget and goals. This strategy is sure to create buy-in and a sense of accomplishment on the part of your employees. Workers that feel part of the company’s success will go looking for the next opportunity to excel. It’s a win-win for everyone.  
A second and equally important wing of the strategy is to get your employees out where they are noticed. Consider paid volunteering opportunities at events where you know your target clients or customers will be. Get your employees into roles that will generate buzz and/or respect. The idea is to create a demand for your product or service, in this case, by creating a demand for the people that work for you.
Be sure their affiliation to your company is obvious, either because they are wearing something that sports your company logo, or because of marketing around the event that clearly identifies them as being associated with your brand.
